Hi. I attached two print screens of my problem because I don't know how to explain it. I don't know what I did but that Icon is stuck to my screen and it's on top of everything. If I'm in Word, it's there. If I'm in File Explorer, it's there. That red circle with the "\" through it goes with the Icon. I can't right click on it or anything. These artifacts are random and can be created in multiple ways, although they occur rarely. The cause appears to be a failure by some part of Windows' code to erase a segment of the screen. The only way that I know how to make an artifact disappear is to restart Windows. For example: After right-clicking on a file folder in Windows 7, I see Desktop Icon Spacing. I had windows 7 and am trying to upgrade to windows 10. After downloading and running the install my machine is now stuck. It does not load 10 , neither does it revert back to 7.
